City of Fairfax, VA
Home MenuThe City of Fairfax recently mailed annual reminder letters to voters who have an ongoing absentee ballot application on file through the calendar year. If you wish to receive ballots by mail for elections in calendar year 2021, you must submit a new application.
The easiest method to apply is online at the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal - you will need a driver's license or other state ID number and your SSN.
The online application will not display the option to apply for by-mail absentee ballots for all 2021 elections until January 1, 2021.
